Mayfair & Legacy Unveils a By-Appointment-Only Bespoke Shirtmaking Salon on Old Bond Street

Mayfair & Legacy, the London-based bespoke shirtmaker, announces the opening of its private, appointment-only house at 11-12 Old Bond Street in Mayfair. Formerly operating as CEO’S LEGACY, the company has rebranded to reflect its direct focus on preserving traditional English shirtmaking. The house specializes exclusively in handcrafted bespoke and made-to-measure shirts, with all production taking place in England.

Standing apart from conventional luxury retail models, Mayfair & Legacy does not offer ready-to-wear collections. Instead, the company provides a private consultation experience where every garment is commissioned and crafted specifically for the individual client.

At a time when a significant portion of the clothing industry relies on large-scale production and outsourcing, Mayfair & Legacy operates its own English workroom. This infrastructure gives the brand complete oversight over every stage of the manufacturing process. Working directly with experienced artisans and skilled seamstresses allows the house to maintain strict quality control regarding the construction and finishing of each garment.

“For us, a shirt is never just a garment. It is a personal commission that reflects the individuality of the gentleman who wears it,” said Ash Happyman, Founder of Mayfair & Legacy. “True luxury lies in craftsmanship, patience and an uncompromising pursuit of excellence.”

The bespoke process at Mayfair & Legacy begins with private measurements and design selection. The company sources textiles from established European mills, including Alumo, Albini Group, Thomas Mason, David & John Anderson, Loro Piana, and Solbiati. Clients are guided through the selection process to create garments designed for longevity.

“True bespoke is about freedom of choice. Our clients aren’t confined to one interpretation of shirtmaking: they can choose everything from a structured English collar to a softer, more relaxed finish, with hand-sewn details carefully executed by skilled artisans,” Happyman added. “Every shirt is created as a personal commission, never as a standard product.”

For Mayfair & Legacy, the “Made in England” designation serves as an operating philosophy. The brand’s foundation rests on the belief that craftsmanship, patience, and personal relationships are the core requirements of genuine luxury. Beyond the Old Bond Street location, the company reaches an international clientele through a schedule of trunk shows in major cities globally. The house hosts regular trunk shows in the USA twice a year alongside its established events throughout Europe, and is currently considering expanding into the Middle East.
